Alix is a mechanical engineer and designer.
Alix is interning with Superflux this summer before returning to her final year on the BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Olin College of Engineering in Needham, Massachusetts. While at Olin, she has dedicated her energy to storytelling through effective mechanical design. At Olin, her education has a visual arts lens to compliment this practice, working on projects that entice users with the beauty of good engineering and highlight a more meaningful point of view. Outside of school, she has contributed to projects such as the Long Now Foundation’s 10,000 Year Clock project and Research and Development Product Design at Apple in Cupertino. Alix draws inspiration from classic minimalist designers such as Dieter Rams, Arne Jacobsen, Ray and Charles Eames and IKEA.
