Building on the initial brief and direction from the Samsung strategy team, we developed a series of prototypes for two entirely new product categories in 4 weeks. These prototypes include explorations of form factor, interaction design, and narratives of use for different contexts and cultures. As per the project brief, the design process was structured as a series of week-long of rapid prototyping sessions, with a collaborative team of ten designers, makers, developers and strategists. It was intense and challenging, but astonishingly successful.
As a project situated in the very near-future, our focus was on actual mockups and prototypes that would give our stakeholders an immediate understanding of use, and the product’s place within a highly competitive industry.
